The 3rd ICIIP: Symposium

Today, September 24 Faculty of Psychology UMS is holding a symposium for ICIIP 3rd in the seminar room. Symposium at ICIIP starts with remarks from the Head of Committee of ICIIP 3rd and Rector/Dean of the Faculty of Psychology UMS. This was followed by presentations from keynote speakers: Dr Bagus Riyono, M.A., Psikolog with the topic ‘Educating the Principles of Life (Haqiqah) to Build Strong Personality in Facing Global Challenges’.

After that, there were several speakers, such as Aad Satria Permadi, MA, PhD, who discussed ‘The Role of Indigenous Psychology in Conflict Resolution’; Okina Fitriani, MA, PhD, Psikolog, who discussed ‘Enlightening Education: Empowering Families to Navigate a Disruptive World’; and Prof. Dr. G. Hussein Rossool, who also presented topic on ’Revitalisation of Islamic Psychotherapy in Global Mental Health Challenges’. All of the above speakers were moderated by Lusi Nuryanti, PhD, Psikolog.

The participants attending this symposium were hybrid, with approximately 70 participants attending offline and 14 participants attending online via Zoom meeting. The participants showed enthusiasm and actively listened to the topics presented by the speakers because the materials presented was very relevant to the current world situation, such as parenting and psychotherapy wrapped in Islamic psychology values and indigenous psychology.
